About Us

Our Mission:

Project Sunshine is a non-denominational, not-for-profit, national organization based out of New York City. We provide numerous free programs and services to children with long-term illnesses, disabilities, and those who possess special needs. Although we cannot answer the question "why", we can hold their hands and provide a shoulder to lean on. Our main goal is to provide friendship while bringing a smile to the kid's faces.

How we achieve our mission:

We put on events for the kids such as Family Picnic, Waco Zoo, Trick-or-Treating, Santa’s Wonderland, Camp For All, Rock Climbing, Oil Ranch, Children’s Plays, Houston Children’s Museum, Tea Party/Campout Party, A&M Athletic Events, Talent Show, Sock Hop, Kid Fish, and Gattitown.

As well as numerous optional programs:

  • The Buddy Program
  • Challenger Sports
  • Friday Fun Nights
  • FACETS

Project Sunshine at Texas A&M was founded by Cody Butler, Aggie class of 2002, and Joshua Pierce, Aggie class of 2001.
